Lobos Tournament Champions

The Broncos Baseball Club secured another championship in dominating fashion by beating the Lobos in their own tournament. Luke Kostreva secured his sixth win by throwing a complete game. He gave up four runs on five hits, striking out three and walking only 1.

The Broncos gained one run in the first, one in the third, and two in the fourth. It was the sixth and seventh inning that provided most of the fire works as the Broncos put seven runs on the board by batting through the lineup in the seventh.

Matt Scheelk led the Broncos in hitting by going 2-3. Eric Gruenewald, J.C. Reinke, Craig Hartlaben, Luke Kostreva, Derek Drage, Jed Reinke, and Mark Reinke all added one hit a piece.

Not only does the win give the Broncos a second tournament championship but it also gives the Broncos 21 wins on the year and extends the winning streak to ten.

Eric Gruenewald pitched a complete game giving up two unearned runs with five strikeouts, three walks, and five hits.

Eric and Jason Wesenberg also went two for three. Craig Hartlaben added one hit.
