Bonduel 7 Cecil 4
In the traditional July 4th event at Jack Reinke Field, the Broncos opened up a huge lead in at the beginning of the game and never looked back. At one point, Bonduel was up 7-1 with Mark Reinke pitching 5 2/3 innings and Jed Reinke pitching 1 1/3 innings to secure the 7-4 win. The win raises Mark's 2009 pitching record to a team high 5-0. Jed secured the last four outs to record his second save of the year.
Mark Reinke pitched a solid game by getting two strike outs, allowing six hits, four runs, and five walks.
Seven Broncos batters secured one hit. Erik Gruenewald, Greg Henn, J.C. Reinke, Zach Wallace, Luke Kostreva, Jack Reinke and Jake Reinke recorded one hit a piece to lead Bonduel in the win.
The win gives the Broncos a reason to celebrate on this July 4th holiday. For over thirty years, Bonduel has hosted teams from Hofa Park, Shawano, and most recently Cecil. Asked why the Broncos schedule a game on the fourth, manager Johnny Reinke stated, "Our guys like to play in front of a big crowd. All of the guys like to play in this game, because they know there is a big crowd." Thank you to all of the Bonduel Broncos fans for attending today's ball game.
Congratulations Broncos on securing your 12th win of the year and another July 4th victory!
